In her studio-library, surrounded by books and musical instruments, molto morbidi allows her creativity to flow freely. She shapes a sophisticated yet accessible pop, where familiar soundscapes meet unexpected twists.
This bittersweet pop, or “weird pop” as the artist calls it, delivers catchy melodies while avoiding boredom, clichés, and the predictable. Her music immerses the listener in an original sound world, drawing on a wide range of references and musical genres. The attentive listener will hear influences from 1960s baroque pop and electronica, moving through post-punk, synth-pop, R’n’B, easy listening, and trip-hop. Echoes of Kate Bush, Cate Le Bon, Laurie Anderson, and Siouxsie & The Banshees appear, yet her music never settles in any one style.
At the same time, her singer-songwriter approach, strongly influenced by folk, reflects a search for authenticity and candour in her lyrics.
Her second album, Maybe Marcel, will be released on 17 April 2026 via No Salad Records.
